Anxiety is a natural human experience, but when it becomes persistent or overwhelming, it can interfere with daily life. Anxiety can take many different forms. Some people notice it cognitively—as racing thoughts, difficulty concentrating, or an ongoing sense of worry. Others experience it somatically, with muscle tension, headaches, digestive upset, or a rapid heartbeat. Anxiety can also affect relationships, leading to irritability, withdrawal, or feeling disconnected. Behaviorally, it may show up as avoidance of situations, over-preparing, or engaging in patterns that feel hard to break.
If you recognize yourself in any of these experiences, you are not alone—and importantly, anxiety is highly treatable. Evidence-based therapies provide effective tools to reduce symptoms, restore a sense of calm, and build lasting resilience. At this practice, we will work with you to carefully assess your unique experience of anxiety and collaborate on a treatment plan tailored to your needs. Together, we will build strategies that help you find relief, feel more grounded, and re-engage more fully in life and relationships.
Symptoms can include:
Edginess or restlessness
Tiring easily; more fatigued than usual
Impaired concentration or feeling as though the mind goes blank
Irritability
Increased muscle aches or soreness
Difficulty sleeping (due to trouble falling asleep or staying asleep, restlessness at night, or unsatisfying sleep)
Together we will identify the situations that are prompting anxiety and the way that it shows up for you and use interventions unique to your situation.
